Bruington
Engineering, Ltd. was founded by Steven
L. Bruington in September of 1986. Motivated by
a strong desire to apply his experience with Getty Oil Company and
Bagnall & Barber, Inc., Bruington formed this new company to
provide premium petroleum engineering and well-site consulting services
in the South Texas region. He strongly desired to incorporate into
his work those qualities that were largely missing from the modern
oilfield: field-based experience, honesty, credibility and reliability.
Building an
engineering service company from scratch proved to be no small task
- not to mention accomplishing this during the depths of perhaps
the worst crash in oilfield history. As the company started gaining
ground, Bruington began to expand his product offering and work
force.

Mike Hunt joined forces
with Bruington in 1996 bringing to the table his numerous and varied
petroleum engineering skills gained through successful tenures with
Bright & Co., Coastal Corp., and Shell Companies. Hunt brings
a wealth of experience to the group and although he specializes
in drilling engineering, he also excels in completions and workover
operations and reserve analysis. Hunt’s disciplined approach
to engineering and drilling wells has served him well at Bruington
and has generated a list of extremely loyal clientele.
Mark
Franki teamed up with
the Bruington group in 2003 after a noteworthy post as Exploitation
Manager for the San Antonio office of Newfield Exploration (formerly
EEX). Various positions with Tesoro E&P, LP, Key, and Enserch
Exploration, Inc. prior to that have allowed Franki to gain valuable
experience in production operations, reservoir engineering, and
acquisition divestiture. Franki is Bruington’s Completions
expert and specializes in fracture stimulation technology.

Beth Prario is the backbone of Bruington’s
office operations. As senior office administrator for a busy engineering
firm, her work never ceases. Since 2004, her clerical and organizational
skills and over 9 years of industry experience have served as the
foundation of Bruington’s operations as she manages to keep
a handle on a growing company now approximately forty-five strong.
Next
to combine forces with Bruignton was Mike
Daniel in 2004. Most recently Drilling Manager for
Saxet Energy and prior to that, Coastal Oil & Gas Companies,
Daniel brings a wealth of drilling engineering and operations knowledge
to the group. His focused, deliberate style and consummate attention
to detail are reflected in each and every project. Some of the deepest
and most complicated projects undertaken by Bruington have been
successfully delivered to the client by Daniel.
To
further compliment the current Bruington product offering, Mike
Forehand came aboard in 2006 bringing a very unique
skill set to the team. Forehand has earned degrees in Petroleum
Land Management, Business, and Geology. This, combined with his
vast field experience qualify him to tackle nearly any situation
encountered in this business. Most recently an independent prospect-generating
geologist, Forehand has been a successful landman/geologist for
both small and large Texas independents.
To
compliment the growth strategy at Bruington, Ryan
Broglie arrived in early 2007 and brought a new
approach to the marketing and operation of a small but growing engineering
firm. Previously a drilling optimization engineer for Smith International,
Inc. in various positions both domestic and international, he is
Bruington’s newest Professional Engineer concentrating on
the design and implementation of drilling, completions, and workover
projects. In addition, Broglie’s responsibilities include
marketing Bruington for growth and success.
To
further compliment the growth strategy at Bruington, Drew
Lambright joined the team focusing primarily on
business development. Based in Houston, Texas, Drew continues to
identify numerous new clients/markets as well as identifying and
interviewing new talent for the organization. Drew brings over 25
years of experience to the group and has held positions predominantly
in the drilling contracting business. Honing his skills in contract
management and business development, he has contributed to the success
of companies such as Discovery Drilling, Black Creek Drilling, and
Wisco-Moran. His field-based experience as a mud engineer and his
subsequent strong foundation in field operation give him a definite
edge whether recruiting for the company or adding value to a client’s
operation.
The most recent addition to the Bruington organization came in last
2010 with the addition of Mary Black.
Mary brings a very unique skillset to the group. With the experience
of helping operate a large San Antonio-based independent oil company
for over 17 years, she is well-versed in the management of oil and
gas operations. A healthy mix of office management experience coupled
with highly specialized oil and gas accounting experience Make her
a welcomed and indispensable asset to our organization.
Twenty-three years
in business and Bruington Engineering, Ltd. still continues to provide
the highest quality service to its customers. A strong field-based
background is a trademark among its engineers. This translates into
a very knowledgeable and competent staff that designs and executes
practical, real-world drilling and completions design programs.
Today, Bruington Engineering, Ltd. has expanded
to include six registered professional engineers, a registered professional
geologist, and over forty highly experienced well-site supervisors.
Bruington Engineering, Ltd. has a combined 217 years of experience
among its office staff alone.
Never
losing sight of the first priority
- providing the highest level of service to our customers
- Bruington Engineering, Ltd. is poised to accept the new challenges
and opportunities that await in the exciting and dynamic business
of oil and gas exploration.
